About Zig Zag
Zig-Zag, a company known for its rolling papers, was founded in 1879 by two French brothers, Maurice and Jacques Braunstein. The company is named after the innovative "interleaving" packaging process they patented in 1894, which allows papers to dispense one at a time in a zigzag motion.
In addition to rolling papers, Zig-Zag now sells a variety of products including pre-rolled cones, wraps, accessories like rolling trays and grinders, and branded apparel. The company's iconic logo features a French soldier known as a Zouave, which is a tribute to a folk story about a soldier who used a piece of paper to roll his tobacco during battle.
